Re: is there jail time for dui

He may have a bond to make initially to be released from custody. In terms of sentencing if found guilty, it would depend on a number of factors including his prior record and blood alcohol level. Too general a question to give a specific answer.

Re: is there jail time for dui

Depends upon whether he's a first time offender and the level of his BAC(Blood Alcohol Content). If his BAC was at least 0.15 but not more than 0.20, the law requires mandatory jail for at least five days. However if his BAC equals or exceeds 0.20, he must spend at least 10 days in the hoosegow.

If your son has had prior convictions that will also likely add to his jail time.
