Legal Question in Employment Law in Virginia

Employment Matter

I held a management position at a manufacturing firm and joined the company in1999. On or about 9/6/06, I was approached by the CFO/COO and told that he and our CEO were considering a new business venture with significant financial backing and he wanted me to join them. Both were fired on10/31/07 and recruited me from that date forward until the end of 2006. I was instructed to quit my job in 12/06, by the former CEO. I have been working for the new venture since 1/8/07 and have yet to be paid. I have an employment contract and many communiqus which proves my recruitment and shows many false promises as well. The CEO had both a non-compete and ''non-recruit'' agreement with my former employer and my former employer has brought suit against him for ''inappropriate business acts''. My family has been under immeasurable duress with repeated false promises regarding payroll release dates, mergers, LOIs for purchase of other companies, etc. I have emails, letters, agreements, etc which clearly support claims among other potentially damaging items. What options do I have?

Re: Employment Matter

Sounds like you may have a cause of action for breach of your employment contract. If so, you could sue for damages in the appropriate court.
