attorney holding money
my fiance recently won a case. the check was sent to the attny and the attny was to deposit and then wite a check to my fiance in 10-15 days. the 15 days has past and the attny states that the check has cleared but she has to wait an add'l 15 days to make sure that the check is not fraudulant and that the monies will not be taken back. is that a correct statement or is the attny holding the funds?
