Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Virginia

I shared a life estate, in my parents home, with my brother. Both parents and my brother are dead. The property, after my death goes to my son and nephew. Do I have any legal rights to part of the estate (in Va.) if the house is sold?

You would normally have to agree to such a sale, and you would have the right to as much of the proceeds as you agree to. The remaindermen (your son and nephew) have no right to sell your life estate.
