Legal Question in Workers Comp in Virginia

claim status

If you file a claim for a sprain muscle(doctors diagnosis) then later, medical evidence (same evidence as first diagnosis) shows it was a fracture, does this void the claim or do you persue it under same claim?

Re: claim status

Dear Sir or Madam:

You can amend the prior claim as long as you are within 2 years of the date of the accident to change the injury to fracture instead of sprain.
