small claims suit

If a small claim suit is lost by a retired person, with no job and only retirement assets[ira's], how does the claiment get money from me if I did not pay the small[$2695.00] claim award?

There are several ways. If you receive any tax returns, rebates, checks, they may be able to attach to those and receive payment that way. If you own any real property, if the judgment is docketed then it attaches to that real property and if you go to sell it, or buy new property you will have to satisfy the judgment. Those are the things I can think of off the top of my head, a collection agency may have more creative ways of getting payment that I have not thought of. My suggestion is always just to pay your judgments.
