Legal Question in Criminal Law in Wisconsin

Re: Felony Warrant in Florida

In a follow up re: my son that has a warrant in Florida. He lives in Illinois and wants to move to Wisconsin. He did get stopped for a traffic violation in Illinois and Florida did not want to extradite. So, if he moves to Wisconsin, why would Florida change their mind. In other words if Florida didn't want him when he was stopped in Illinois, would it make any difference if he moved to Wisconsin?

Re: Re: Felony Warrant in Florida

That is an impossible question to answer. Florida very well may have had the right to Extradite him when he was stopped in Illinois, but they chose not to. Florida did not give up its right, it simply chose not to exercise. They may never extradite him, but they may decide at some point if he is picked up again to do it this time. Nobody could say for sure. They certainly have the right and the ability to do it, it is simply whether they choose to do so. Your guess is as good as mine or anyone else's.
