Legal Question in Criminal Law in Wisconsin

Hello...maybe you can help....

A car crossed the intersection,in the path of another car coming down the road. There were 2 tickets marked on the police report.

They were supposed to be " possibly 2 tickets" . She was said to be at fault and paid the " failure to yield from the stop sign"

citation.

This was corrected by her insurance co. after the lady who not at fault was paid for her car damages.( according to the 2 tickets that

were marked on the police report) by the insurance co.

The person coming down the road did not get any tickets., was not at fault. There weren't any lawsuits filed.

The lady with no citations or tickets is be investigated . Could this be something to do with the car accident?

If so , who would have to start the investigation? Thank you

New investigations could either be due to the accident or due to something totally unrelated. If she is being investigated by an insurer or a lawyer, then perhaps additional damage claims came in, from a passenger or some other party who had not yet settled. All of this is speculation, however, based upon meager information here. How did you find out about this "investigation?" Findings of fault in the accident report, including issuance of citations, are not binding upon any courts litigating liability for injuries or property damage, so it is quite normal for negotiations and investigations to go on for years after any citations are resolved, since the citations do nothing to resolve damage claims, even if they may become useful during settlement negotiations.
