Legal Question in Family Law in Wisconsin

Child Custody

My husband has two kid from a previous relationship. They have joint custody for both children and joint placement for one of them (the other has primary placement with the mother). My husband's ex has not allowed him to see his kids for the past 3 years almost. He has had little to no contact with his kids. This past December (of 2006) his ex up and moved to Kansas with his kids, without notifying him or getting permission from him and the courts (which is stated in the court order). He has no idea where his kids are and cannot contact them at all. What can we do? We cannot afford an attorney, is there anything we can do without one?

Re: Child Custody

You have to file a motion to show cause before the Family Court Commissioner why he should not be held in contempt for repeatedly violating the order. Also, I would call taking the kids to Kansas without permission KIDNAPPING. I would report it to law enforcement immediately.
