Child custody laws

My children are 14 and 15, if we get equal child custody and the children do not want to go to their Dads, do they have a choice?

Though the children's wishes are supposed to be considered at the outset as part of a long laundry list of factors, they have no choice in the matter at this time if the Order that was issued after a hearing on the facts says equal placement.
