My friend had a fight with a lawyer residing in same society because of some dispute. My friend later told another neighbour via telephone that he wished he could break the lawyer's head in an angry outburst. The neighbour told the lawyer about the threat and the lawyer filed a court case under Section 506 IPC against my friend based on the recorded conversation.
My friend will apologize to the judge and tell him it was an angry outburst and not a threat. What punishment can he expect?
He did not use physical violence against the lawyer. Only verbal abuse.
