alcohol treatment for possible probation violation a good idea?
I received a citation for public intoxiction about four months after being placed on five year probation for my second dui, which was for drugs, not alcohol. was is the probability of jail time on that violation, what seems like a reasonable amount of time, and would it look good to the court if i entered an inpatient or outpatient treatment program? I've already swore off drinking and am attending AA meetings as much as possible, but should i be more proactive? Could that lessen or even eliminate the possibility of jail time?
