I am getting divorce according to the court papers my status will be single on September 2010. Do I HAVE to get a name changed?

No, you can keep your married name. If you wanted to change your name back to your maiden name, you can request it in your divorce. The option is yours.

It depends on what was put in the proposed judgment. IF the box for "restore wife's maiden name" was checked, your name is changed whether you like it or not, and you will need to go through changning it on all your accounts and records. If it was not checked, you can still do it after the fact if you want, but you don't have to.
