Legal Question in Employment Law in California

I worked as a bakery cashier at Superior Grocers not as a front cashier. Both have different training experiences. They both know cash system, ebt. I was put as a front cashier for twenty minutes. Bakery cashier only knows cake and bread codes which is about ten codes total. Front cashiers know about 50 codes including all fruits and vegetables. While i was in the front I had a customer ask for cash back 200 dollars. Being nervous i did not nootice the transaction did not go through. The reasn being is i was nervous because it was my first time there nont knowing a clue what i was doing. No one was watching me the whole time when i was suppose to have a buddy. What can i do? I filed for unemployment and got denied because they said i knew the cash system.

You have the right under California law to appeal the decision on your unemployment application. I would have to find out additional facts from you first, but you may have a strong strong case to appeal the decision of the EDD on your unemployment application.

I can offer a free no obligation 15 minute consultation. Please also check out my firms website at www.laborandemploymentlawoffice.com. Feel free to call.
