Legal Question in Consumer Law in Connecticut

Being ripped of by a ticket agent

I had purchased 2 concert tickets fro a known ticket agent. The show had to be rescheduled but the tickets would be valid at new show. When we got to the show we found that the tickets had been called back for a refund by the ticket agent. We were out $406. then we had to but more tickets or go home. The next day we contacted the ticket agent. It sounded like this nightmare would be over. He said he would look into the problem and get back to us. Well after many phone calls and way too many ''The checks in the mail'' I need to take a different action. It has been almost 3 months sence the concert. I need help.

Where is the agent located? That determines where you need to seek a lawyer. You need to put your request for an immediate refund in writing so you have evidence.

You can have a local lawyer help you by sending a letter on her letterhead, but if the case went to suit, you'd need a lawyer in the state where the agent was located. Hopefully a letter would give him the kick he needs to refund your money in a timely manner. And you are right, 3 months is way too long to wait. He's giving you the runaround.

If you need assistance in Michigan, feel free to contact me.

Thanks.
