Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in Connecticut

hospital bill collections

My relative has been paying her bill for emergency medical treatment in small amounts (under $50)since 2004. Now the hospital is threatening to go to a collections agency if she doesn't pay at least $65 per month. She cannot afford this amount, and has been faithfully paying each month. What are her options?

Re: hospital bill collections

This depends on a few things. One of which is whether you have anything in writing. While the hospital is entitled to be paid for its' services rendered, a document stating something different may be enforceable. Without more information, it is difficult to give a more specific opinion. If you need further assistance, you should visit my website at www.findctlawyer.com. GOOD LUCK
