Legal Question in Civil Litigation in Florida

Injunction against a boyfriend

My daughter has broken up with her boyfriend after 2+ years of abuse, taunting, and unauthorized of her credit cards. He threatened to kill her. and has gotten an injunction against him. He has a car that she purchased for him, registerd and insured in her name, that she demanded that he return to her. He has refused, and has said that if she pursued the matter of the car, he would not keep the car, he would not pay for any of the credit debts that he is responsible for. He claims that there was agreement that he would pay her back, even though he was not authorized to charge on her accounts. The boyfriend has also insinuated that my daughter is attempting to ''scam'' the insurance because of a back injury that she sustained in a car accident, having gone so far as to call her insurance agent and insinuate the same. What can she do to get him out of her life, have him return the car in original condition, and pay for the unauthorized charges that he is responsible for? The apartment that they shared was in her name ONLY, yet he claims that he can come and go freely because he established residency there. Please help.

Re: Injunction against a boyfriend

It appears that he has stolen the car. Report the auto theft to the police. With respect to his contacting an insurance company to say that she is a fraud, have your daughter tell her lawyer what is going on so the lawyer can deal with the insurance company on this issue. Your daughter's former boyfriend sounds like a serious problem. The police should be contacted at every turn in each instance where he threatens her or does any criminal act. Good luck.
