Legal Question in Immigration Law in Florida

I am dating a married woman who is applying for her green card. We have been dating for like 4 months now and her husband (permanent resident) is wanting to apply for divorce. She has done the interview for the green card but is waiting for the visa to be available. Her priority date is 03/04/2010 and right now on U.S Citizenship Immigration Services they on 01/08/09. I was wondering if the divorce goes thru will it terminate or cancel your application for green card. If it does what can I do to extend the divorce to make it longer till it finalizes.
