real estate contract signed w/builder

builder advised 6-8 mo for construction but would not do cntract contingient on sale of my exhisting home. I made decision to sign w/builder based on construction not being complete untile September 2007. this would be 6 mo from date construction began on march 15. today i get a call that they want to set closing and schedule my walkthrough. the builder misrepresented himself at contract. i want the home but need my house sold first. i can not afford 2 mortgages and an equity line on my exhisting for the down payment on the new. they slapped the home up in 8-9 weeks? what can I do?
