Legal Question in Family Law in Georgia

Jealous Exwife wants New Wife out of the Picture

I have been divorced for several years. Five months ago I remarried. I have one child that loves her new step mother, as well as her step father. The problem is that my ex wife is having trouble with me leaving my daughter with my new wife (and her son) while I am at work (during my regular visitation) My work schedule requires this to happen 1 or 2 days per month, not very much at all. My worry is that she will try use this against me in court in the future. Normal families, blended or not, do this day in and day out. I see this as a part or life, after all- I do have to work. What are the odds of a Judge ruling I can not leave my child with my wife?

The only way a judge would rule that youcannot leave your daughter with your wife or stepson is if there is something that would make them unfit. (Severe psychological issues, drug problems, physical or sexual abuse.) Unles these issues are presnet, then you have nothing to worry about.
