Legal Question in DUI Law in Illinois

DUI court supervision

23 years ago my husband got a DUI. It shows up on his court purposes driving abstract as getting court supervision. Is this considered a conviction on his record? He is applying for a new job and it asks for traffic/DUI convictions. Thanks for your help.
