Propery stolen at repair shop while car being serviced

My car was at a repair shop for over 2 months the mechaninc went on vacation. when I went to pick up my car I notice my stereo amp and speeakers were stolen he says he is not liable he says his insurance wont cover this and he has a sign who is responsible do I have a civil case?

The garage owner is responsible for items stolen from your car regardless of what any signs say. And if his insurance doesn't cover it, then he probably doesn't have insurance.
