About emacipation

Ok if im 15 going on 16. Whenever I turn 16, can I get emacipation without getting married or pregnant? I just want to get away from my family and live with my boyfriend, tell me what I need to do please.

The only way to be emancipated prior to 18 in Kentucky is by consent of your parents AND by being self-sufficient. There is no legal right or court action that can emancipate a minor in Kentucky against parental wishes. By the way, and to hopefully discourage you from doing something drastic, getting pregnant does not emancipate you, having a baby does not emancipate you, and getting married can only be done with parental consent.
