Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Maryland

I bought furniture from a large on-line company 14 months ago. I decided to return the furniture, which they were obligated to pick up. They refunded my money 9 months ago. Last week, their representative called to arrange to pick up the furniture. Is there a statute of limitations for what is a lawful period of time for them to pick up their property? Can I charge them rent for storing a roomful of furniture for over a year? Can I keep the furniture since so much time has passed? Thanks!

No statute of limitations for a lawful period of time for them to pick up their property.

No, you cannot charge them rent for storing the furniture.

No, you cannot keep the furniture since so much time has passed.

Why are you trying to get something you are not entitled to? It is going to lead to either criminal charge against you or a civil action against you.

Best of luck.*******The above is for informational purposes only and does not create an attorney-client privilege.*******
