Legal Question in Employment Law in Missouri

co worker verbally commits slander towards me for 1.5 years

this co-worker has gone to management with lies about me over & over for 1.5 years. She has been talked to about it but never punished. 2 Saturdays ago she did it again & I confronted her - she blew up in front of many people. When I left work that day my taillights were bashed out of my car. I went to management and talked to no avail. They said security caneras had froze. I gave my notive - they tried to get me to stay but would not protect me - said she has mental problems & doesn't take her meds. I quit without working out the 2 weeks because I am afraid she will do more. What can I do?

If you believe this gal damaged yrou property, you may make a police report. You may even sue her in small claims court for the damage to your car. There are not enough facts here to determine if you have claim against your former employer. Given ths situation, it is unlikely that the employer will use the lack of two-week notice to give you a bad report or reference to your future employers. If they do, you may have a great claim against them, given the facts of your situation.

Good Luck
