Legal Question in Bankruptcy in New Hampshire

How long does Bankruptcy Last

To Whom it may concern I was told by my Lawyer that Bankruptcy lasted only 7 years a friend of my wifes who's in Realestate said it lasted 10 we went Bankrupt opver 7 years ago we would like to buy a House what should we do ?

Re: How long does Bankruptcy Last

It is my understanding that you cannot file bankruptcy more than opnce every 7 years but a bankruptcy stays on your credit report for 10 years.
