Legal Question in Civil Litigation in New York

I has a .com domain name this is obtained by an ex-boyfriend who recently please guilty to a P.L. 240.30(2). I now have an order of protection against him permantely. He has been renewing the domain every yr it expires so I cannot obtain it. The issue is that I run an online business under this name and need the domain back. I currently own the.net. There is more to this...if someone can direct me to anyone who could help me, I'd appreciate it.

You may want to consider filing a UDRP (Uniform Domain-Name Dispute-Resolution Policy

) action to force the transfer of the domain name to you. This is an arbitration procedure by which you prove that you have actual trademark rights in the domain name and that the party currently holding the domain name has no such rights and/or is squatting upon your rights.
