Legal Question in Civil Rights Law in North Carolina

Foreclosure

I have been late on my home payments several times that I do not dispute. Recently I mailed a payment in late again. I recieved a message on my answering machine hat they had recieved the payment but, was told my payment had gone up and that there was a late fee. This payment I sent made my account current except for the extra $17.51 plus the late fee. The message on my machine stated that if I didn't get 32.00 in her office on April 26th that ''I could get boxes and start moving'' Can they foreclose on my home even if I am current?

Re: Foreclosure

Probably not, but in any event, there shouldn't have been messages on your machine but papers in your mailbox.

Foreclosures don't happen over the telephone.

Get a lawyer to review your mortgage agreements, get current and then see where the foreclosure goes.
