Legal Question in Real Estate Law in North Carolina

My husband and I own our home. He has a daughter from a previous marriage. What document do I need to ensure that his daughter doesn't claim my property upon his passing?

Good question.

Your husband's daughter cannot claim any of your property if her father dies. Hopefully you have the house titled so that if your husband dies, the entire house is owned by you.

Good luck.
