Legal Question in Family Law in Ohio

child visitation denied by custodial parent

A friend of mine is unable to accept telephone calls, mail or email, or have any contact whatsoever with her father, who lives in Texas and does not have custody. This is not a court decision, and there is no evidence or suggestion that the father did anything to justify the custodial mother's actions. My friend is 15 years old. Her mother checks the internet to see who she has been chatting with, reads her emails, and traces her every move on the internet. This is the reason she could not ask the question. Is there anything she can do? Thank You.

Re: child visitation denied by custodial parent

You friend has a very difficult problem and is fortunate to have a friend like you. First of all why doesn't you friend purchase a phone card and call her father from your house. Her father would need to retain counsel to help him get visitation or if your friend desires custody with her father.

Good Luck!!!!!
