Legal Question in Family Law in Ohio

Fraudlent Income Information Presented At Child Support Hearing

Four years ago, I took my ex-husband to court for an adjustment on child support (after 10 years). At the time of the hearing he presented documents to the court which stated that his income was $41k per year. Recently I found out that his income was in excess of $100K per yer. Is there a statue of limitations on my being able to sue him. Is this a criminal offense. Can I sue him in a civil proceeding. I made about $26K per year at that time. My son is 18 and graduated at this time. Thank you.

Your son is now an adult and may be able to bring an action for back support on his own behalf, if your ex-husband mis-represented his income. I suggest you advise your son to speak to an attorney.

Since your son is now over 18 he is due the back support. But lying to the Court is called purgery whic is a criminal offense. Talk to the prosecutor

Good luck!!!
