Is there a Statute of Limitions (years) for credit debts in Texas and California? Will a debt eventually be cleared from a credit report?

Yes. Both states have statutes of limitations on debt. Texas is four years, and apparently the same for California.

A bad debt comes off your credit report in seven years, a bankruptcy in ten.
