Legal Question in Family Law in Washington

Legal name change for a minor child

I have had full custody of my 2 children for 10 years. Their biological father has since been convicted of child molestation and has not had contact with my children in over 5 years. He is not able to have contact with any minor children. What rights if any does he have at this point? What would be involved in changing my childrens names to my last name?
