Legal Question in Family Law in Wisconsin

Mother with custody wants to move out of state?

My fiancee wants to move from Wisconson to Ohio and

bring her daughter. Her Ex-husband is fighting the

move. He is a convicted felon, and may go back to

prison. Her lawyer seems to think that his criminal

record won't have a bearing. I find it hard to

believe. As far as the move being in the best interest

of the child, I own my own home, and have lived here

all my life. I also have a good job with alot of

security. I make alot more money than the Ex, and

provide a more stable environment for the child. Does

he have a leg to st

In Summit County, the Court will in all probability allow you to go to Wisconsin and the Court will Order the standard long distance visitation schedule in force.

Does the criminal activity affect the child either physically or mentally? If he just got involved with the children, the Court may very well do supervised visitation. I would contact counsel in your area to confirm the above opinion.

Good Luck!!!
