Legal Question in Real Estate Law in India

I am going to buy additional flat in my name in registered society in addition to one which I already Owns. Does I require any permission from Registrar of Society under Maharashtra Co-operative Society's Act? My society does not have any byelaws as being too old. Does modern bye laws are applicable to this society? What is the procedure to make this applicable? How to safeguard in purchasing this additional flat in the same society in the same name?
