Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Arizona

Roomates Posse of friends broke our window

So, one of our roomates held a party back in February for valentines day at our house we are renting. The co-host, our roomates friend of 14 years decided late in the evening she wasn't going to show up. This resulted in a catfight between the two via text messages. Earlier in the day, the girl who bailed had come over to drop cloths off. She called and demanded she come pick them up, our roomate said she'd deal with it tomorrow and didn't want to see her. The Co-Host came by with a group of friends and an arguement ensued at the front door. We decided to call the police as they were kicking at the door attempting to break in. As they left, one of the outside parties that came to our house with the Co-Host threw a rock at our front window and shattered it. We honestly don't know if it was that threw the rock, the Co-Host who bailed or one of her three friends she showed up with. The police wrote a report and it went to a detective but I dobut it'll ever amount to anything. We want, the now former roomate, to own up pay for the window. Since her relationship with the co-host is what caused the whole ordeal. Is our former roomate responsible for paying the damages? Doubt we can find out who really threw the rock.

You may have a claim for the damages against the former roomate, if you can show she had legal responsibility for her guests that she brought on the property.

I suggest you take her to small claims court, no lawyers are required or allowed and perhaps the judge will see it your way and not require proof of who actually threw the rock.
