Legal Question in Family Law in California

don't know what to do!

My child's father is very abusive to me and our child. we have joint custody. I left him and now live else where to get my child out of the negative inviroment i need to know what to do with protecting my child and me. He is also a highly wanted felon would that help my case any?

Go to the public library nearest to you. Speak to the Reference Librarian and ask to be shown how to search the internet with the key words "Colorado Domestic Violence Shelters." I found over 30 all over the state. Call the shelters nearest you and seek guidance there.

If you have no local library, then go to a friend or an acquaintance [who does not know your X] who does have internet access and who can help you do the search.

Yes, if your child's father is a felon wanted by the police, that could help your situation.
