Legal Question in Employment Law in California

is it legal to ask an employee to spy on other employees to get information to try and terminate them. also i work through lunch and take no breaks, i'm called or texted on my personal cell phone in regards to work when im off the clock. i was given a promotion with no pay increase. im over worked and under paid, because i dont have a degree yet no where in my job description says a degree is required, also i wasnt given a review when i returned from maternity leave and none of my work was given back to me nor replacement work. My boss informs me of her personal home affairs, takeing up an hour of my work time, she also tells me about things she is trying to get other managers caught for, which makes me feel very uncomfortable, also she said i make corporate HR mad because i went to another HR rep now i feel uncomfortable to go to mine.
