Legal Question in Employment Law in California

unfair practices

small company, big expansion, unethical spending, not one written policy here...

boss promissed bonuses, not paid or acknowledged or denied. boss hasnt paid proper overtime wage first 10 months of employement. boss pays late regularly by 1-4 days. boss gave me ultimatum that if i did not cooperate as a "team" player by waiting on a late paycheck by as long as a week, that i need to tell him that i don't care to "continue on". promised one week vacation, will not be able to take before my last day. in the meantime, i really want a commitment to pay these things before i leave because it's only going to get harder afterwards. i'm afraid if i bring it up now, he'll force me to leave early (without firing me). any information regariding my rights and possible course of collection is appreciated

Re: unfair practices

You are entitled to payment of your promised bonus and any overtime compensation you have earned. If you complain to your employer about the failure to pay your promised compensation and are terminated for that reason, you have a claim for wrongful termination of employment.
