Legal Question in Employment Law in California

Vacation pay

My question is , if you earn vacation pay and you earn these hours at a rate of 168 hours per a year and are making a certain wage per hour , and have been in this job 4+ Years , now I am doing a different job and at a lower wage , can my employer chnage the value of my vacation pay that was made before the new wage took affect ?

Re: Vacation pay

It depends when the vacation pay was earned or became "vested". If all or part of it became vested at the higher rate of pay, you are entitled to the higher rate. Any vacation pay that is earned at the lower rate, such as that you are accumulating now, is payable at the lower rate.
