Finance Company and Court

A finance company is wanting to take me to court in Georgia. I financed a computer in 2000 and paid well over $1200 for it. According to them the original balance was over $3000. I have question them and got no answers about and have not heard from them in 2 years. What can I do? I don't want to go to court, but I believe I have been scammed
