Legal Question in Employment Law in Florida

I recently filed for unemployment benefits and was approved, except for a part time job I held more recently which I only had for a few weeks. I had almost forgotten about this job. I did not work there long enough, or make enough money with this job to where they would pay out any benefits even if they did approve it. Why do I have to file an appeal for this job? I understand that I have to be approved for all of my employers, but even this petty job? I ended up quitting this job after only a few weeks in order to pursue a better job opportunity, which eventually ended up falling through after a while. If I end up collecting, my unemployment benefits are for around $5500.00. Worth the fight, I think. But do I have a leg to stand on? Or should I just give up and forget it?

If you had a job and then quit, I think that makes you ineligible for unemployment.
