Legal Question in Personal Injury in Florida

slander

I have a dependency case with the state of Florida. My Mother told everyone I have mental disorders. I paid seveal hundred dollors for psychological exam and personality exam. The psychologist determined that I do not have such disorders only suffering from depression from not having my children with me. She is still telling everyone who'll listen to her that I have mental disorders, that I won't admit to them. This is ruining my reputation what can I do to hold her accountable legally.

Re: slander

You can sue her for slander, but it would depend on specifically what she has said, to whom and what damages you have sufferred. It is probably best that you just ignore her. The lawsuit process itself can be quite stressful. I would just ignore her; others probably do as well.
