Legal Question in Civil Litigation in Georgia

Default on vehicle loan with a co-signer

I co-signed on a vehicle for my daughter. She stopped paying the note. I am required to pay it to preserve my credit rating. I want it refinanced in her name or sold. She will not respond to any attempts to resolve this. The vehicle is titled in both names. I must have a POA to sell the car. Do I have any legal standing to force her to refinance or sell the car?

Re: Default on vehicle loan with a co-signer

Cosigning a note doesn't give you any rights. It simply creates an obligation to pay the loan.
