Legal Question in Personal Injury in Georgia

Personal Injury

I was in a rear end collision. The insured has the same insurance company as me. My left is sprained and the elbow has a small radio fracture. I don't need a cast, but am using a sling and am doing 2 days a week of physical therapy. 2 questions. Should I hire an attorney or handle it with the adjuster. I am great with details. Also should I sign the agreement to supply medical documents etc to the adjuster?

Re: Personal Injury

I am sorry to hear about your collision. However, I generally recommend hiring an attorney. An attorney will generally know what the value of your case should be. Additionally, this can be a very difficult time for you and can be very confusing. I would suggest having a professional to assist you with the matter.

Re: Personal Injury

If you want to get underpaid, talk to the adjuster (who, unlike you, does have a lawyer). Study after study shows that people without lawyers are offered far less, in general, that people with lawyers. And nothing could more sabotage your case than giving medical records to the adjuster instead of having a lawyer presnet them at the right time as part of a demand package.
