I am an employee in a private sector organization. I would like to file a discrimination complaint against my employer. What are the proper steps that i need to do?

You would need to file with the Illinois Human Rights Commission or the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission.

It is typically best, however, to have your claim evaluated by an attorney, who, if he or she believes in your claim and accepts the representation, will complete the forms necessary to start the process.
