Legal Question in Civil Litigation in Illinois

Car dealership cashed a check that overdrew me!

I'm going to make this as clear as possible, On March 11 2009 I walked into Ray Chevrolet in Fox Lake IL, seeking a 2009 Chevy Aveo. They wanted $1000 down. They said they will hold the check till the end of the month. I know for a fact, I can save up and there would be more then enough to cover that check.....Well about March 14th they dealership calls and wants me to come in. I sit down with my brother, and the finance guy and He says GMAC wants an addition $2000 down. I tell him I cant afford that, and He says Ok I can give you your car back, and we can take the car back, because we cant get you done, with just the $1000 down. So I give him (the salesman) the keys to the Aveo, and he gives me my trade-ins keys. And I tell him to shred the paperwork and destroy the check, he assured me that EVERYTHING will be gone. And we went are separate ways, this was the 14th of march. TODAY I go check my account only to fine out, that on 4/01/2009 a check was cashed for $1000, which over drafted my account, and froze it so I cannot pay my Capital one bills, as well as my other credit cards bills due in a couple of days. What can I do? I want to hear an attorneys point of view

Call the same finance guy, tell him what happened and that you need a check for $1000 plus the bounced check fee today.
