Car title with Ex-GF

I bought my car in 2005 and my girlfriend at the time co-signed loan with me.

Now, car is paid off and we are no longer together. I moved from MI to IL, she is not willing to release the title on my name. I have the Title with me (on both of our name).

What can I do ?

If the car title is in both of your names, then you both own the car. Depending on the circumstances you may have some options, feel free to give us a call if you want to talk more.

This is a tough situation. There are a number of approaches. My guess is that if you have an attorney sedn her a letter, she will cooperate. If that does not work, I see no alternative other than to file a suit. I doubt that she would be willing to mediate. Good luck
