Legal Question in Family Law in Indiana

20 year old son

Can I still get child support for him? His father and I were never married, and no paternity ever established although I had an attorney for this years ago. The father never showed up for court dates. I have no idea where his father lives at this time. Although, the child support would be nice my son just wants to know his father. I don't know what to do.

The son may be able to establish paternity but time is running short. You write about court dates but no judgment was entered? I think you need to speak to an attorney as soon as possible.

I would need to look at the court papers because I can not tell whether legal paternity was established and whether other pleadings and possible orders were filed. What course of action to take depends on what has happened previously.
