Legal Question in Family Law in Kentucky

An ex girlfriend of mine moved to Kentucky (I live in Wisconsin)and the county has sent me a paternity letter stating that she named me as the father of her daughter (now 7 years old) and that I must submit a defense letter or I will be found to be the father by default. What must I include in this letter? I have limited funds and a very limited time frame, so I would like to handle this part of the case pro se and maybe hire an attorney at a later time. What must be included in this letter?

I would hire an attorney at this time as failure to properly present any issues to the court at this time could have an adverse impact on your case at a later date. If you choose to go forward on your own you need to file something with the court and send a copy to the agency that filed the complaint as concerns any objections you may have to the allegations set forth in the complaint (without seeing the complaint I am unable to provide additional information about what the objections might be- jurisdictional, not the father, etc.).
